Starcatchers ascend to the snowy mountain tops every evening as the sun begins to set in order to collect star pieces that serve as a power supply for the city below. Star pieces are a fickle substance that grows unusable unless quickly contained within specialized glass jars utilized by the Starcatchers. These containment jars, are one of many tools that a Starcatcher uses throughout a night of harvesting starpieces. Collected starpieces are then deposited within sturdy reinforced crates that are returned to the city at dawn. These crates glow with the signature golden yellow glow that emits from a charged starpiece. The harvested starpieces are then converted into power, at the processing factory that lies at the center of the city, in order to produce clean energy that does not damage that clean mountain air the region is known for. The short lifespan of a fallen starpiece requires a keen eye in order to spot them within the ideal timeframe. In order to assist with locating starpieces quickly, Starcatchers utilize powerful telescopes that are able to spot a starpiece long before it begins to deteriorate due to the planet’s atmosphere. At night, a citizen of the city with a watchful eye might spot the elusive Starcatchers at work due to the signature red glow of their telescope worksites. This red glow allows the Starcatcher’s vision to stay adjusted to the night sky and keeps their senses in top form.
